Our rainy Monday started with using maps and understanding what an Atlas is. It has been helpful for Social Studies as we are studying Alberta and developing an understanding of where it is. In Language Arts we kept learning the story of Terry Fox, which has been very interesting for our students, and we are excited to bring in donations for the assembly later in the month! In Physical Education the grade 3/4's played a game tossing bean bags back and forth and were awesome at it. In Science our interest in compost took us to learning about worms and how helpful they are to our environment. We continued with our place value unit in Math and began drawing images to help us understand the relationship between our groups of 1's, 10's, 100's, and 1000's. Our classroom is becoming a great place to learn as some of the students are showing the ability to be amazing leaders!
