We started our day with a Friday Walk and Talk. Finally the weather is warm and actually feels like fall!
This morning students did their spelling test. I was able to mark them and send them home today. I have to say, it was apparent that most students studied hard this week- great job! In Math, students tackled problems. Here is the challenge problem for today- try it at home with your family over the weekend! How many different ways can you represent the number 3572? After music, we had literacy/art block combo. Students were given free choice and half an hour to draw a picture of whatever was on their mind of inspiring them today. They used pencil and pencil crayons for their piece. Then, they had the following half hour to write a creative piece that connected to their work of art. On early dismissal days, students are able to have a mid morning snack while they work independently. This is not the same as lunch. Some healthy snack examples include: yogurt, fruit, veggies, crackers, hummus, cheese, low-sugar granola bars, trail mix, deli meat, homemade muffins/baked goods. Reminder: Monday is picture day! Come to school with your brightest smile! :) Mrs. Rowein
