This week students learned a variety of mental math strategies to solve addition problems. These strategies are useful in a real-world context, when pencil and paper is not always available! They are also helpful during Friday math games ;)
Students finished their descriptive "spooky" Halloween writing yesterday. Parents can expect it to be sent home tomorrow. In Science, we have been working away on students' Diary of an Animal assignment. After days of research and discovery, we finally started planning our diaries today! In Health we continue to focus on the Bucket Filling and Dipping analogy. Today in conversation we noticed that while all students know what it means to bucket dip, we still have dipping happening on a regular basis. It is important to remember that while we cant always control our emotions, we can control the actions we choose when we are feeling upset or angry. Reminders: Walk and Talk tomorrow! Spelling test tomorrow! Library tomorrow! :) Mrs. Rowein
