This week in Math we are wrapping up our division unit. Grade fours will have a few more days to practice division than the grade threes, as their Program of Studies deals with higher numbers.
In Language Arts, students began a task that will span over the next few weeks. They have been looking at a wordless picture book (the identity of the book is concealed as to not give away any spoilers!) and are creating their own little stories to go with the pictures. Students have been challenged to think about perspective in pictures, as well as the emotion that pictures can show. Over the last week and a half we have been skipping our hearts out in Phys Ed! Students have learned a variety of tricks and gained confidence in their skipping ability. Many are even taking jump ropes outside and skipping at recess! This week the whole school is participating in a door decoration challenge. Our theme is a blend of our love for the environment, and our incredible multicultural family we have in room 20! The winning class gets a prize of a popcorn and movie party on Thursday! Reminders: Granary Road Field trip forms were sent home last Friday. They are due back to school Thursday May 16. No school Friday- PD Day :) Mrs. Rowein
