Our Cultural Night last week was a huge success thanks to you and your kids. The food was delicious and it was a great way to learn about each other. In Science we had the fun of building our own Eiffel towers and learned what makes a tower strong and sturdy. In the next few weeks we will begin creating our elastic powered cars which will be a ton of fun. In Math we have had a nice change as we have been learning about shapes and how to categorize them by using Venn diagrams. Next week we will be reviewing skip counting and moving into multiplication. In Language Arts we will continue with story writing which the students are doing very well at. In Social Studies this past Wednesday, we had a guest come in to share about indigenous people and their way of life. We will be continuing learning about the indigenous people and how it relates to Canada's history.
We have an art project planned for next Friday, the 28th of February, which requires an empty plastic water bottle. Please provide your kid with one as every student will need one. If you have extras please send them too!
